Yeah, that and the Oak Green is making me crazy. I think I will have two lids, one duck and one with a bracket for more wing changes.

Yeah, I keep going through the pictures of options I am considering and I keep coming back to the Oak Green cars. Its like dark silver in some light, very green in other light. Its made some king of impression, I need to keep staring at it I guess...

Yeah it is very dynamic paint. I want something like this on my car eventually. I was scanning around for greens and blues and found this picture, I saved it because I think the dark blue/green color is gorgeous, though this pic does look like it has filters over it. I'd probably pop out the side vents, rear panel, and my turn signal hood inserts and paint them all black

My 69 GT500 is sort of black with a bronze hint in it, it was my fathers car, I don't know the name of the colour. Its a hard decision, I will take some time and see how I feel, first impressions always change a bit.

So it's a real GT500 not a replica? Black with bronze doesn't sound like an optional color to me, so at least you wouldn't be painting over anything original. Definitely good to take your time though. Have any pictures?

Oh yes its real, it was even bought from the S. Lake Tahoe dealership owned by Carroll. It belonged to an Air Force officer and my father bought it from him in Europe. It was originally this orange red but apparently he damaged the front fender and decided to change it to this other factory colour. I'm not saying its bronze, it looks pretty dark but there is a bronze quality to it in bright sunlight.

Well it's my pleasure hah, save that one too while you're at it.

Oooh, very nice. Yeah I misunderstood the paint, I see what you mean now. If you went with that type of dark green, would you keep the decals gold, or do a different color? I think a dark green might go good with the gold stripes.

The car I'm painting is a 911, the GT500 was painted in the early 70s and we aren't going to change it.
